Everything that exists in the universe, including human life, has laws that govern its evolution, in other words, its growth and development. As human beings, when we follow these laws of life, we are supporting the uplifting force nature has endowed in us and thus, we are able to realize our fullest potential. Human life is represented by a totality which encompasses the physical body as well as non-physical aspects of who we are including our energy and our true self (including our consciousness). When any one of these aspects is not aligned with these natural and enduring laws, we can become unhealthy, unhappy and unstable. In accordance with these laws, the universe is not acting upon us to create the problems and difficulties we experience, we are fully in control of what we create. In the truest sense, as masters or our own lives, what we have created, we can heal. This is why working at this level of life -physical (body) and non-physical (energy and true self), with respect to these laws, is the most important thing we can do to heal and improve our lives.
The problems we experience are seen at the physical level through poor health conditions, symptoms and chronic diseases. On a deeper level, issues with our energy underlie these physical problems, and are present as disturbances, compromised quality or quantity. When we are improperly nourished by our energy, or we continually experience negative thoughts or emotions (produced from the activities of our consciousness), we may find we lose sight of the natural qualities of our true self that ensure a positive, healthy and productive life. Instead, we are plagued by problems associated with a lack of focus, control, clarity and a chaotic existence. These may be reflected both internally and in our relationships with our external world through our actions and behaviours, interpersonal relationships and attitudes about society and nature. Left unaddressed, the imbalance and lack of unity between these three aspects of ourselves is continually perpetuated. We may be caught up in vicious cycles which become reinforced and strengthened in ways that impede our ability to attain a lasting state of health, well-being and growth. True healing requires that we work to master them, instead of simply trying to fix our problems, which are only superficial manifestations of much deeper, underlying root causes.
The key to healing is change and change comes with understanding. Underutilization of our own healing powers and inability to activate our own self-healing mechanisms, is primarily due to a lack of self-understanding, the laws of life and how to apply these to our own lives to change. In order to heal, we must develop a willingness to gain an understanding of our problems and adopt a more internally focused approach through self-awareness, self-examination and self-effort. This process not only builds our determination and desire to change, it also helps us find ways and means to shift and transform the patterns and habits that are at the core of our imbalance and disharmony. As we heal, not only do we become healthier, happier and more at peace, we begin to manifest creative and special capabilities, and find we are far more adaptive to unforeseen circumstances which might have created problems for us in the past. We may develop abilities to find unique solutions to addressing challenges in life that we might never have conceived previously. We tap into a wisdom guided life and a level of self-realization which finally enables us to lead a much more elevated and meaningful life, which benefits not only ourselves, but others.
